Who We Are

The Canada Club is, above all else, a progressive group aimed at organizing the people of Canada to advocate for their freedoms, safety, and equality.

It is no secret that for years, the working people of Canada and the world have been targeted and cornered, slandered and attacker, by Governments, Corporations, and Reactionary movements.

We believe in a simple truth: the working class of the world is not it’s own enemy. Rather, it is the rulers, the billionaire class which divides and attacks us at every moment, declaring our fellow worker the enemy.

These lies can, and will, be refuted, and it will be done by building bridges, helping one another, and creating community that includes all of the working class.

More and more, the people of Canada are being starved out by the ruling forces of our great nation. Unemployment rates are up, crime is skyrocketing, homelessness plagues us, healthcare is collapsing, the poor grow poorer, and the rich grow richer. The Liberal Party offers no solution, and the Conservative Party offers false solutions, more concerned with boosting the power of the ruling class then fighting it. We believe in the same conclusion more and more Canadians are coming to: the established order in Canada is failing the people.

Therefore, we promote a sensible vision: a country where the people are truly in charge. One where the everyday workers doesn’t get sidelined by the government nor the megacorporations that dedicate themselves to stealing our labour, and stoking infighting. There is only one way to achieve this: by getting the Canadian people organized.

We are not a partisan group, and we are not affiliated with any political party.

We recognise that a strong community of workers isn’t just necessary, it’s inevitable

Founders

Alex A. McCarthy

The Canada Club was first proposed by Alex A. McCarthy in May 2026. McCarthy had a great interest in the political sphere from a young age, often getting involved in political groups at school. Born and raised in Waterloo, they first properly came into the political sphere during the Ontario Student Protests following the cuts to OSAP by the Provincial Government, organizing the student walkout for their school. Their experiences in Waterloo Region showed them the devastating consequences of corporate domination in Canada.

After the OSAP Protests, McCarthy realized that long-term change in Ontario, Canada, and the world would not be possible without the working class working together, collectively. With the attacks on their family, friends, neighbours, and peers, they are dedicated towards building an organization that fights for working Canadians.

Hollow Kraemer

Hollow Kraemer was invited to join The Club shortly after it's proposed creation. Throughout the years, they watched as social and political divides have caused countless communities to deteriorate, in our neighborhoods, schools, and homes. In spite of this deterioration, they have also seen many people able to thrive thanks to networks of support in ways that they otherwise couldn't have. Through this, Kraemer has grown to appreciate the power of strong communities.

Kraemer was drawn fully into the political sphere via the OSAP protests, where it became clear that Canada was rapidly moving towards a future structured to the detriment of working class Canadians. However, the protests also demonstrated that standing together and working as one would be the only way to create any notable change. Now, Kraemer is committed to building stronger networks of support with Canadians wherever possible.

Kody Harding

Kody Harding was invited to The Canada Club in June of 2026, not long after it's creation. Since childhood, they have seen the horrors that the world has faced, and the chaos that had become of people's hatred. Harding strives to become a helping hand in their community and push the future into a community of support.

As a young child, Harding began to witness the injustices in the world and knew that change was necessary. They were drawn to the world of social justice and politics by the OSAP protests, as well as others, as it deeply affected them. Harding has come from a low income family and saw just how affected not only they were to these issues but everyone in their community. They now strive to make a difference for Canadians and fight for a future that fits everyone.
